Inert Value

Course manual · publisher and method

About this site

Inert Value is a single five-step course, published by one company, for readers in Australia who are new to free-to-play online battle games on a desktop computer. This page says who publishes it, how it was put together and what commercial interest sits behind it.

SEC 0.1

Who publishes it

Inert Value is published by PADOLO s.r.o., náměstí Svobody 93/22, Brno-město, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic. The company registration number is 29361206. The company is not registered for VAT, so no VAT number is shown anywhere on this site. The address for all correspondence, including privacy requests and corrections, is info@inertvalue.online; the Contact page says what we can and cannot help with.

Authorship across the site is attributed to the PADOLO s.r.o. editorial team. There are no individual writers credited, no contributor profiles, no instructors and no staff pages, because the course is a single piece of work maintained as a whole rather than a collection of articles by different hands.

SEC 0.2

How the course was structured

The five steps follow the order in which the questions actually arise for someone starting from nothing: what the thing is, whether their computer can run it, what the paperwork says, how to set it up, and how to live with it afterwards. Each step was written to stand on the one before it, which is why the steps are numbered rather than tagged, and why none of them is a list of titles to choose between.

Each step ends in a checklist because reading alone rarely changes what someone does. The checklists are written so that every item can be completed without spending money and without an account on this site — there is no account on this site — and so that a household can work through them at its own pace.

What the course deliberately excludes: reviews, scores, rankings, comparisons between titles, tactics, and anything resembling a recommendation to buy. Those are the places where a commercially funded publication is least trustworthy, so the course does not go there.

SEC 0.3

What each step relies on

Table 0.1 — sources by step
StepWhat it relies on
Step 1Ordinary industry terminology, defined plainly, plus the Australian Classification Board for how games are classified here.
Step 2The documentation of the desktop operating systems for finding hardware details, and the principle that the publisher's own current requirements page is the only authoritative list.
Step 3The ACCC on consumer guarantees, the Classification Board on classifications and consumer advice, the OAIC on privacy, and Scamwatch on scam patterns.
Step 4The Australian Cyber Security Centre on passphrases and multi-factor authentication, plus the common structure of account sign-up across the category.
Step 5The eSafety Commissioner on gaming and families, the ACCC on online purchases, and general guidance on live service games, labelled as guidance where it is.

Where a statement is a verifiable fact, it links to the body that states it. Where it is a judgement formed from general experience of the category, it is written as guidance and says so. Where we do not know something — including almost everything about any particular title — the course says to read the publisher's own page rather than inventing an answer.

SEC 0.4

How often it is reviewed

The whole course is reviewed twice a year, and sooner if a linked Australian body reorganises its guidance or if an item in a checklist stops being accurate. Every page carries the date of the last review in its footer; the current date there is 12 October 2026. A review means the links are checked, the procedures are re-read against current practice, and anything that has gone stale is rewritten rather than annotated.

If you find something that is wrong or out of date, write to info@inertvalue.online and say which page and which sentence. Corrections are made to the page itself.

SEC 0.5

The commercial relationship, stated plainly

This site earns money through a paid affiliate link. World of Tanks, which the course names as an example of the category, is a title PADOLO s.r.o. has a commercial relationship with: an affiliate network pays us a commission when a reader creates and activates an account after following one of our links. That is the only way the site earns anything. There is no advertising, no sponsorship and no paid placement.

Two consequences, and we would rather state them than leave you to infer them. The course names a product we are paid to link to, which is a conflict of interest and is disclosed on every page where a link appears. And the course is written to be complete without that link: the checklists can be finished against any title, and nothing in the five steps becomes untrue or unusable if you ignore the link entirely.

What decides the content is set out in full on the Affiliate Disclosure page, together with the trademark position and where the links appear.

What this site is not

It is not published by, affiliated with or authorised by any game publisher. It is not a news outlet and carries no reporting. It is not a download site and hosts no software. It is not a training provider: there is no registration, no record of attendance and no certificate. It collects nothing from readers — no forms, no accounts, no analytics — which is described in detail in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
